Dan DeSmit joined Vigilant Biosciences® in December 2021 and serves as Director of New Product Introduction, leading end-to-end engineering development of the BeVigilant™ OraFusion™ System. He brings over 15 years of medical device experience spanning mechanical, chemical, electrical, and software development, and has directed multiple design transfers across the United States and Asia. Dan previously served as Senior Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer at Varian/Endocare in microwave and cryoablation cancer treatment. Earlier, he held senior R&D roles at Inova Labs developing the award-winning ACTIVOX portable oxygen portfolio.
