Nick Haman serves as Director of System Engineering at Vigilant Biosciences®, where he leads the system architecture and engineering of the company’s diagnostic reader platform. His responsibilities span system design, electronics, embedded firmware, and cybersecurity, combining technical leadership with hands-on product development.
Nick brings more than 25 years of engineering experience, primarily in medical device development, and has worked with companies ranging from early-stage ventures to organizations including Google, Eli Lilly, Medtronic, and Boston Scientific. Over the course of his consulting career, he has contributed to the development and commercialization of a wide range of complex products, including an oxygen concentrator and other medical and embedded systems. He has been working with Vigilant Biosciences for seven years and has played a key technical role in the development of its reader technology. Nick is also an inventor on patents related to energy storage and electric grid monitoring.
